Miramar, Fla. (Aug. 10, 2007) --- CompuPay, Inc. (www.compupay.com), one of the country's leading providers of payroll, tax filing and HR-related services, has been selected as a finalist for "The Best Places to Work in Maine."
The ranking was released last week and is compiled by the Best Companies Group. CompuPay was chosen from hundreds of companies that participated in the survey. The finalists are separated into two categories: small and medium/large-size companies. The winner for each category will be announced at an awards gala on October 2nd.
The "Best Places to Work" awards are self-driven by company employees. Best Companies Group conducts a simple yet thorough company assessment and is assisted by ModernThink, LLC, a workplace excellence consulting firm. The assessment is a two-part process designed to gather detailed data about each participating company. In part one, the employer completes a questionnaire and in part two, employees of the company complete an employee survey. Over a four-month period, the surveys are reviewed and a score is devised for each nominee, ultimately selecting winners in the small and medium/large business categories.
"We are extremely honored and proud to be named one of the finalists for this prestigious award," said Charlie Lathrop, Chairman, CEO and President of CompuPay. "Our philosophy as a company is to empower all employees to do their best and be their best when serving the needs of our clients, both internal and external. At CompuPay, we strive to provide a culture and professional work environment where employees feel they can grow and contribute to the success of the company."
